How do I maintain an Evergreen control unit?
To ensure longevity of the control unit, inspect/clean the filter monthly. Replace the filter yearly.
How do I clean an Evergreen surface top-cover?
Disinfecting the top-cover
1. Remove the cover
2. Wipe the cover using a single use wipe and a .1% Chlorine Solution (1000ppm) and cold water
3. Ensure cover is completely dry, before refitting the cover to the mattress
Deep-Clean/Machine Wash Instructions for top-cover
1. Pre-wash 60°C for 15 minutes
2. Main wash 60°C for 15 minutes
3. Finish with cold rinse
4. Hang in a clean indoor environment, or tumble dry on a low heat setting for up to 90-minutes up to 40°C.
Covers must be completely dry before refitting to the mattress.
*If the mattress bottom cover needs to be washed on the OpalAir – remove the ‘Fowler’s mode detector’ before the Deep-Clean/Machine Wash.
Does Evergreen offer a warranty?
Yes, 2-years from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects.
What sizes are available in Evergreen surfaces?
All mattresses come in a standard 35’’/36’’ width x 80’’ length. Evergreen can also offer custom size widths (i.e. 39’’, 42’’ or 48’’) and lengths.

What can you place over an Evergreen surface?
A loosely tucked sheet is appropriate and still allows the mattress to work effectively. In terms of disposable pads, there are some available that are designed for Low Air Loss surfaces and that may be optical. Consult with a healthcare professional on the best covers to use based on the clinical application.
